GRID-DETECT is an automated infrared and visible thermography monitoring system designed by InfraTec to secure electrical substation reliability through predictive maintenance, early failure detection, and 24/7 temperature tracking.
Overview
The GRID-DETECT system utilizes high-resolution infrared cameras combined with visible cameras and robust protective housings to continuously monitor substation components without requiring manual interaction. By automatically tracking temperature trends and triggering pre- and main alarms when adjustable thresholds are exceeded, the system helps prevent dangerous equipment failures, reduces maintenance costs, and minimizes unplanned outages. Its flexible, TCP/IP-based architecture allows decentralized component placement, interference-free data transmission via fiber optic cables, and remote access from a Master Control Center using specialized management software.
